Historical summary:

1890: The brick manufacture "Weibel" opens a train pulled by horses along the rural road. Loam gets transported on the three cilometer long line from the pit in Igis to the manufacture in Landquart.

1928: Purchase of battery engines brings a much higher productivity.

1955: Begin of the conversion from battery engines to diesel engines. Step by step the older engines get scrapped. After a mortal accident with a scolar, the line gets replaced from the road to the fields.

1979: Discussion about the cut-off of the railway. As a reaction to this, a new, more powerfull engine and six bigger tipping wagons. An increasement of the efficiency was seeked.

1985: Out of economical reasons the railway gets cut off. The line gets dismantled, except of 300 meters inside the manufacture. In the following years, a few transport are done on this short piece.

2011: In January, Remo works out a deal with the brick manufacture to get the permission to rehabilitate this 300 meter long piece. In May, Riccardo got around. Since then they are working on the totally rehabilitation of the rolling stock and the line.

2012: We started learning how to build tracks, as well as we startet to repair the MV1a. Got back two original Landquart coaches.

2013: Commissioning of the Saurer truck. Permanent loan of the diesel loco type O&K MV2a. First version of the Homepage goes online. Bought a Menzi Muck 2000T for repairing the tracks.

2014: Publication of two reports in local newspapers as well as a television reportage. In November we got the MV0 "Tschumpali" as permanent loan.

2015: Foundation of the "Verein Feldbahn Ziegelei Landquart"
